Comprehension Toolbox is a professional tool for speech therapy that focuses on enhancing reading and listening comprehension of single words, specifically nouns and verbs.

This app is specifically crafted for individuals dealing with aphasia and those having moderate to severe, or severe receptive language impairments resulting from strokes or brain injuries. It is also beneficial for older children with special needs, such as autism.

WHAT SPEECH THERAPY ACTIVITIES ARE INCLUDED IN COMPREHENSION TOOLBOX?
<ul>
<li>Training: This activity aims to assist individuals with aphasia and severe challenges in understanding spoken and written words. Users are presented with two example pictures of a target word and asked to match the word to the correct picture from a set of three options.</li>
<li>Photo Shuffle: In this activity, users match spoken or written words to corresponding pictures within a set of 2-6 pictures, providing extra time for comprehension and aiding in the selection process.</li>
<li>Word Match: Users are shown a large picture and three spoken or written words, challenged to match the picture with the correct word.</li>
</ul>

<li>Speech language pathologists / Speech language therapists</li>
<li>Adults with moderate to severe receptive aphasia post-stroke or brain injury</li>
<li>Adults facing cognitive-communication challenges from stroke or brain injury</li>
<li>Adults with visual attention issues following stroke or brain injury</li>
<li>Children with autism and receptive language difficulties</li>
</ul>

CAN YOU ADJUST THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF THE COMPREHENSION THERAPY ACTIVITIES?
Comprehension Toolbox offers three difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard) that can be tailored in the settings of each activity. Users can also regulate the field size (2, 3, 4, or 6 pictures) in the Photo Shuffle activity.

<li>Easy Level: Items belong to different categories</li>
<li>Medium Level: Mix of items from the same category and different categories</li>
<li>Hard Level: All items are from the same subcategory</li>
</ul>
